Station road!
- Steve McCrawley (26th Jun 2017 - 07:44:24)

Dear shopkeepers of Station Road. If any of your customers complain about having difficulty finding a parking space outside the shops today, the driver of the Land Rover with registration starting AY52 should be back from London around 1900 have dumped the vehicle shortly after 7am today.

Clearly the '1 hour limit' signs are not clear enough for this particular driver.

Hopefully the traffic warden will be about today.

Sadly it's not that time of year for his annual visit!

Land Rover there again today

This car is consistently parking outside the shops on Station Road. Meanwhile people wanting to pop in to the bakers etc are leaving their vehicle on the roads with hazard lights on, causing delays for other cars. I will be contacting the council to ask why the vehicles flouting the parking restrictions on Station Road are not being penalised.

Oh for goodness sake gets life, often use the shops, NEVER in 10 years had a problem parking in Newtown. And no, I'm not a commuter

The owner of the Land Rover with registration starting AY52 has clearly failed to get the message - still parking all day on Station Road - usually outside the Cancer Research shop. Time for a strongly worded letter to the council.

Maybe it never moved

Perhaps the driver has forgotten where he/her has parked it!!!!!

Now dumped in entrance to Chiltley Way again and obstructing view of oncoming vehicles when entering junction from Midhurst Road. Fantastic piece of parking. Well done.

Obviously the driver of the vehicle has read this thread so moved the vehicle to another annoying location.

I used to have similar frustration with one of my fellow commuters, back in the day. He would live his little red car outside my neighbours house, which I felt, was a little rude, to do all day, every day. His view, was that he paid his road tax and as such, if there were no restrictions, he could park anywhere he liked.
Whilst exceptionally frustrating, rude and exhibiting a complete lack of respect for others, he was sadly, correct. Parking all day in a 1 hour restricted zone is clearly unacceptable. Parking in Chitley Way, on a unrestricted road, sadly is not.

At least he is parking on the road and not up on the pavement like here in Weylands Close. No room to push a pram and a potential danger if ever a fire engine ever needs to get down the road. There is also an idiot who parks his truck every right on the corner so no one can see who is coming along Paddock Way. People in these houses should make adequate parking on their front gardens and not block the pavements. Council should put double yellows down on dangerous corners and junctions like in Bordon.

A person who parks 12 hours in front of a Cancer Research charity shop,
Is always going to be a person who really only ever thinks of himself!.
I would hate to be so morally thoughtless as this individual!
