Low water pressure
- Dan (19th Jun 2017 - 20:36:49)

Anyone else experiencing low water pressure ?
Both hot and cold are about half of normal pressure - no leaks or signs of issues in the house.

Canada Way (near Sainsbury's)

thanks

The water company has been fitting pressure reducing valves. I spoke to them earlier in the year. This was down the Headley road. Maybe phone them in I think they adjusted one near us when pressure was too low.

The idea is if there's a leak less water gets lost.

According to the water suppliers, the drop in water pressure was caused by a booster problem. It effected a wide area in the GU30 and GU9 and other post code areas.
Pressure was restored after a few hours.

And the problems occur yet again tonight. Not impressed...

Apparently the problem has been caused by a combination of a burst main in Rake area and high demand with everyone getting home and using lots and lots. I'm impressed it was sorted so fast - our water is fine again now.

Maybe something we all have to get used to with all the extra housing going up in Liphook - The support services & infrastructure just don't seem to be able to cope with the extra demand. & Yes I was also affected !

Is anyone else still having problems with low water pressure? I am in Ottawa Drive. My boiler won't heat my water although it works for my central heating ! My loo wouldn't flush and although now working the pipes moan and groan. Please don't give me any wisecracks about this, I've heard them all this week! I usually have a great sense of humour but this is really getting me down.
Would just like to know if anyone has had or solved this problem before I start making phone calls etc, hoping I can work it out myself. Thanks
