Lovely weather today.... for a bonfire.....!!!!!
- Smoked Out (2nd Apr 2017 - 10:40:44)

Thanks to the inconsiderate person living on Headley Road nobody can now sit/play in their garden, open windows and hang washing out on this beautiful day. How selfish.

Grr! I agree with you Smoked Out. People can be such inconsiderate, selfish... (insert appropriate descriptive word)!!

We'll swap your bonfire for nextdoors kids hammering their sodding football against the fence . It's constant! No one else around here can enjoy their garden because of it. All day everyday

I completely agree with OP

I'm trying to kick my tumble dryer addiction/general laziness and hang washing out to dry. Day one has not gone very well as our kind neighbour has had a bonfire going all day. Not only can I not dry our clothes, I can't even have the doors and windows open because the smoke is so thick. I'd love to let my baby boy sit out in the susnshine. Luckily for them they have a long garden so it's far from their back door and very close to ours.

They are burning tables and chairs... why can't people go to the tip to dispose of their rubbish. It's vile.

So flaming inconsiderate (pardon the pun!!)

You don't say what the items that your neighbours are burning are made from, but this page might help:

Thank you for that information- really useful as it was dining table and chairs! I might print it out and give it to them for future reference:)

How utterly outrageous 'N' how dare your neighbours children be out in th garden playing football!! Surely this generation should be inside watching tv whilst plugged into several other forms of technology!!!
Jokes aside, I can fully appreciate that the persistent hammering of a football against a fence must be hugely annoying, but can I ask if you have actually popped your head over the fence and pointed this out, knocked the on the door for a conversation with their parents or are just ranting on here? It might seem very inconsiderate behaviour, but there is every chance that it's not occurred to the kids how noisey it is and that the parents are so thrilled that the milder weather has arrived and the kids have finally unplugged themselves to play in the garden that it's not occurred to them either x

- Smoked out (again) (7th Apr 2017 - 12:15:03)

And off we go again! All yesterday smoke filled our garden and home (even when windows and doors were shut).......

Now the lady is setting up for a further bonfire with goodness knows what in it this time.

What is wrong with a good old fashioned tip?!?!

All for kids keeping active! But when you're subjected to persisting hammering on the fences whenever it stops raining, it drives you absolutely crazy . The only relief we get from it is during winter . We dread the milder months . It's ALL the time. We can't hear ourselves speak and the fences are now damaged (our responsibility apparently! )
And yes had a word but the parents encourage the child.
No consideration whatsoever. If you were in our shoes you would not be so forgiving .

Smoked out* let's swap gardens this weekend!

Seems a bit drastic I know, but you could think about alternative fencing for a while, other fencing which perhaps means you have less privacy but if it were not fully boarded high fencing he could not kick against it if it were wire for instance.

And don't forget the smelly barbecues that have sprung into action over the last couple of days!

We have been completely smoked out for the last few days, from 7am each day! "I'm just the gardener" - shouldn't excuse the home
owners!

If you have had no joy after you have spoken to the neighbors about the smoke problem give the environment protection team at East Hants a call on 01730 234360. Hopefully they will be able to give you some advice.
