Bonfire season is upon us

What joy that spring is upon us. The lighter evenings are here and we can enjoy time in the garden while the kids can play outside.
But before you settle too comfortably in your deckchair, the stench of the nearby bonfire comes floating across your path, leaving you to choke on your drink, gather in the washing and run indoors for cover.
Why is it that some people feel the pressing need to chuck things on a fire!? Every spring and summer the residents of Liphook and countless other villages and towns are subjected to the needless nuisance of a stinking bonfire.
Have some consideration people - I'm particularly thinking of you Mr Newtown Road resident! Take your garden waste to the local tip!

you must be someone who as just move in to the village cant wait for the bbq to start all that lovely smoke coming in the windows
