I have a large collection of vinyl records to sell, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to go about doing this? Just wondering if anyone has sold a quantity of them and can guide me on how or where to sell them. Any advice greatly received.

You are probably best to try and sell the more sought after ones individually to get best price. I have a collection of over 700 LP's and a few years ago I considered selling. Went to Bens and a few other collector shops but the amount they offered was heartbreakingly low so in the end I kept hold of them. Most second hand LP's will only sell for as little as a pound so its worth getting online to see which are collectable and then try and ebay them to get a premium price. Remember collector shops are looking for sell on with a profit margin so will not give you a good price even for the collectable ones. You could also take a stand at a second hand record fair to see if you get any worthwhile offers
Good luck

It's the largest database for selling vinyl & you can look up records you have to get an idea of value.
It's basically ebay for vinyl!!

I would also recommend Ben Darnton, of Ben's Collector's Records in Guildford (01483 301165)
He makes home visits or you can drop them in the shop during business hours. He has been in business for over 30 years and is very knowledgeable. Discogs is ok, however may take longer to sell individually if you find there are a lot of copies of a particular title out there.
It's up to you, however Ben's comes recommended from my previous experience of both buying and selling there in the past.
Hope this helps
