Lunatic driver on Portsmouth rd
- Phill (23rd Oct 2016 - 18:24:18)

If anyone witnessed a near head-on collision about an hour ago on the Portsmouth rd just south of the Links, perhaps we could report the incident to the police.

The driver of a Suzuki-type 4x4 overtook me travelling towards Liphook, and then attempted to overtake the Volvo estate 50 yards ahead of me, travelling very fast and approaching the brow of a hill, only to meet 3 cars heading the opposite direction. The car skidded a swerved and just managed to pass between the cars. On another day, people would probably have died.

Perhaps someone had a dash-cam...

And the other lunatic in a black Peugeot who pulled out of Hewshott Lane right in front of us this morning as we drove towards Liphook. Can't have looked as we were so close to the junction he/she would have seen us. Fortunately our car has very good brakes!

Or the driver of a blue Peugeot who went past the Post Office towards the 20mph sign at close to 50 mph.

Total disregard for speed limits and everyone else on the road.

Midhurst road, from roundabout to roundabout almost nightly we are treated to noisy immature boy racers who put their lives at risk but most worryingly they are putting innocent lives at risk! We need speed bumps on midhurst road.

I have just purchased an in-car recorder after a near death experience on the A3.
Do the local police accept the footage?

And the driver of the fireplace and stoves van X11 RFG, who continues to use his mobile phone when he's driving in and around Liphook. When will he stop? When he's caught by the police,, no disrespect to our police but there's little chance of that happening, or when he has a prang and hurts someone. Come on Mr put your phone away when you're driving and keep our roads safe..

Is it Dawn who is intending to install an in-car camera? We have done that and it sure makes you drive more carefully as well as watching other madcap drivers creating hazards the roads. We got ours after being involved in a six car shunt(no one hurt thank God) but three years on and we are still in dispute about who hit who (on the A34 to Andover) If we had had the camera then we would not be questioning the truth re the front driver into whom we were shunted by the rear driver, when my husband said thank god I did`t hit him, referring to the driver in front of us, and then the rear driver was shoved into the back of our car which pushed us forward. The camera does also record sound so be careful what you say while driving,ha ha! We went to Halfords in Guildford and they fitted it while waiting. Get the front AND rear camera version if possible. Very glad we have it now.
