Royal Surrey - good care
- wendy (24th Aug 2016 - 13:48:30)

I just had to put this here, I had the misfortune to fall down the stairs on Monday, we called the ambulance and it was here in twenty minutes. The medics were very thorough and very kind. They took me to the Royal Surrey hospital where I again was given very good and kind care. Even the xray people were lovely. When I stood up and felt faint, the doctor treating me went and got me a lunch bag with a sandwich and yogurt in it, because she thought I was weak and needed to eat. In these days when everyone runs the NHS down, I just had to tell of my own experience, I'm sure there will be the people who say what an awful time they had, but for myself I can't praise them more.

My experience of the NHS has always been that they are world beating at emergency and urgent stuff, it is the routine stuff that does not seem to work so well.

My Mother was in and out of RSCH in 2015 and they were always brilliant.

Maybe the managers need to manage the NHS so that routine stuff happens as well as the critical stuff?

That's really lovely to hear. I hope you can find the time to tell them in the best way you can.
The Royal Surrey is having a really tough time right now, and things like this are a real morale boost that someone has had something go well for them.
