Road Cycling
- T (18th Aug 2016 - 17:28:51)

Looking for people to cycle with locally I'm mid 20's and tend to cycle alone most of the time, anything up to 50 miles or so sometimes further. Ride around the 14/15/16mph average or so. Looking to get faster and fitter. Anyone else cycle locally?

Hi there, there is a few of us who do an early morning Sunday ride if your interested, normally leaves around 07:15. It's sociable/ friendly and the pace is normally dictated by the slowest rider (basically no-one gets dropped). To up your own pace you can ride off the front and top n drop to regain with the group but it is around the pace you have stated anyway. Normally around 60km. Just for reference I'm 36 so as you are younger you may well be lighter and fitter!
Also happy to go out and get on the rivet as well to do some faster ride's at 30kmh+ 's it is always easier to get fitter and faster riding in a group and sharing the work.

Me and a mate ride around the area, quite often. Anything from 12 miles to 40 miles or so at a similar pace around 15mph. Looking for more people to ride with... feel free to email me t.o.m-@hotmail.co.uk

I'm thinking about starting up a group for women. But off and on road. I cycle alone and think some women would love to cycle but are too nervous to get out there and try on their own. Would be nice to cycle with other pepple. No one seems to suggest these things. Not sure if anyone would be interested but I am going to try to organise something.

That's exactly my point Nicola! Why not get a few of us that want to cycle out for a ride? Easy ride. No pressure. That's my aim!

Hi Nicola and Miss Sarah

I too would like to cycle with other women. I have a mountain bike and I know there are some fabulous tracks around Liphook. I'm not at all fit so gentle riding would suit me.

How should we girls go about this?

Anne
