We went on Wednesday when it was quiz night and it was good to see it so busy. We didn't do the quiz but just had a meal and it was just delicious, only bettered by the really friendly service. We will definitely be going back.

I love Thai - does anyone know if the restaurant is open for Thai food every day - and what hours it's served?

Had a fabulous meal at the Green Dragon last night. We are not Thai food experts - but thoroughly enjoyed all we ordered and very reasonable prices.

Their website has been updated to include the new Thai menu items.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal there last night and was very reasonably priced. It was clearly all freshly cooked and they happily accommodated my request for my curry to be 'a bit hotter'. I would definitely be back and would highly recommend trying it as I really was surprised how good the food was. Attentive staff and great choice of beers etc. Well done Dragon 🐉

I love thai food, but it would have been nice if they had a bit more english food on the menu and not just fish cakes, fish and chips and chicken wings.

Linda

I believe the Green Dragon is to offer a wider menu when the kitchen has been refurbished.

I also would like to see more English dishes on the menu like it was before.

Well, I would like it to serve only Thai food! There are plenty of places in and around Liphook already that serve English food.

I agree the Thai food is lovely and most other pubs in liphook serve the traditional pub menu? I would hesitate to call most of it English though
Apart from Fish and Chips what most people eat in Pubs
Burgers --American
lasagne--Italian
Pasta --Italian
STeak and Chips- American
HUnters Chicken and chips -American.
the pub seems very popular now and that is largely down to the superb Thai food. WHy change a winning formula?

I would like to say food is brilliant & staff are to. The lady with the red hair always makes us feel very welcome. Also no service charge added to the bill :-)

As a result of reading about the Green Dragon, we went there for the first time since we've lived here, nearly ten years.

We were very late for lunchtime, having lost the dog up at chapel common, so walked in out of breath at 2.20, very apologetic. It didn't faze them at all and we we made welcome, served a nice glass of Sauvignon blanc and settled with menu, and no rush.

The food is very nice, maybe the portion size of the shared starter was a little small, but the manager says they are still experimenting with the menu, and he is going to look at the constituents of that particular dish. I was very encouraged to see that we now have a restaurant with a proper attitude to food and wine. We are definitely going to make another visit soon, and maybe there will be more variety as the clientele increases. I am hoping for dim sum dumplings, which is my favourite Thai starter, but the prawn toasts are really delicious, so there is plenty for me to enjoy.

The Green Dragon is now a very pretty pub, beautiful hanging baskets indicating the intention to turn the business around now it's under new management. There are a few outside tables and it is dog friendly, there and in the bar. There is also much more parking than I thought, tucked away through the narrow archway. I thoroughly recommend the pub and I'm sure it will get the support it deserves from the discerning Liphook crowd.
