Found Rabbit
- AMA (25th Nov 2015 - 15:09:23)

A rabbit was found yesterday evening in a garden on Newtown Road, and is currently at Small World Vet Centre on Station Road while we try to find it's owners. I've left out a description of the rabbit on purpose but If you have lost a bunny please give the vets a ring on; 01428 788659

Well done you for taking the bunny to a safe place.
I do hope the bunny just escaped and wasn’t deliberately abandoned! Unfortunately there are people who just leave their pet rabbits go in the woods/common/playing fields at this time of year because they can't be bothered to look after them in the winter months!
I am not at all suggesting that that is what has happened to the bunny you found, just making people aware of this all too common practice!
I really hope there will be a happy end to this thread.
Quite a lot of people have their bunnies microchip'd now days, did the vet scan him/her?

The rabbit was scanned for a microchip but unfortunately doesn't have one. It's such a friendly little bunny and full of character, it's hard to think of it being abandoned. Someone must be missing it somewhere.
