I agree with the person - mac
I cleaned my car total waste of F****g time some people are so inconsiderate.

I seem to recall we have had the "bonfire" discussion here before.

Assuming it is not a regular and frequent occurrence, it appears to be a permitted activity, and as we do live in the country, I would expect fallen leaves to be disposed of by burning.

I found this link pointing to EHDC

easthants.gov.uk/environmental-nuisance-complaints/smoke-nuisance

Perhaps you could offer your neighbour assistance in composting instead?

I do agree with the posting about a lit fire in the daytime but could you not of gone to where the fire was to ask for them to put it out? Just a thought, not all issues can be resolved from a computer ;)

I don't see anything wrong with having an occasional autumnal bonfire in your own back garden. We are not living in a dictatorship, and have freedom to use our own gardens without miserable people worried about a little ash on their car, which would was off in a shower anyway.
Just enjoy the autumn and the joy of having a lovely bonfire and ridding the garden of all the rubbish before winter.

In reply to -R I am not a miserable person and I object to your comments plus you haven't got the balls to put your name to the post so as I and all of Gunns Farm know who you are.

I know and don't need to be told by you that a little water would remove the ash from my car. A neighbour had washing out and because of the bloody bonfire had to do it all again I suppose you think that's all fine as well. And most probably you don't even live in Gunns Farm it is very easy to make comments and give advice if the bonfire doesn't affect you. This could have all been avoided all that was required was to have the bonfire in the evening.

I agree with Dave's comments about R. All that's needed here is some consideration for others - something that sadly seems to be going out of fashion in society. Yes, have a bonfire but do think before you do it. I would try not to have one on a weekend but if I had to due to work commitments, I would have it in the late afternoon, especially if it was a nice day as we've had recently, in order to have as little impact to others as possible.

Is a little consideration really too much to ask of some people?

I agree with A, consideration and maybe some communication to coordinate. Having said that, it is not assumed that washings should have priority over bonfires...
The name/address/identity of - R is completely irrelevant for the argument, why should I care what colour his/here eyes is?
Lucky if this post is put on Forum as Moderator had been "censoring" quite a bit!
