The Messenger, Parish Plan Meeting

Received my copy of this weeks Messenger which says there is the first Parish Plan meeting on Monday14th September at 8.00 pm in the Millennium Centre. Cant find anything about this on the Council website which is where we are told we can find out more information, or on the Parish Plan website. Perhaps Councillor Maroney who is the Chairman of the Parish Plan would be kind enough to explain what is going on as he posts on this site.

The Messenger's heading should have referred to the Neighbourhood Plan meeting on 14th September. The article corrects itself half way through. This is a Parish Council meeting to form a NP Steering Group (NPSG).
The Parish Plan, as a group, is not involved. However, its findings will be made available to the NPSG.

Councillor Maroney, thank you for replying. Its actually written in the first line of the article, and I dont think articles can actually correct themselves. Now that would be magic! So the Messenger have mixed up the Parish Plan with the Neighbourhood Plan. What a really confusing cock up by the Messenger. I cant find anything about the Council forming an NP Steering Group on their website. Where did that come from and why is that not being publicised, as IMO that is an important bit of information.

Can someone please explain the difference between a Parish Plan and a Neighbourhood Plan? (Genuine query!)
