Just wanted to thank Sainsbury's for the generous donation of some bottles of water for tomorrow! They will be available at some of the locations.

We also have a Bohunt sports tour student selling refreshments at Bohunt so do please support him.

Don't forget the sports day is not just for children! Many of the sports clubs taking part cater for all ages and will be happy for you to take part whatever your age.

There are prizes in three age groups... Under 11, 11-16 years, and 16 years +.

Fabulous day!

Might ache a bit tomorrow though, but well worth it.

Thank you to the organisers and the clubs - didn't realise there was so much going on in Liphook.

Hopefully they will sleep well tonight :)

Really good to see so many people taking part today in all the sports on offer today. Many of the clubs that took part reported new members joining up which was one of the main aims of the day. I'm wondering whether the tennis club are still there as they had so many children there at 4pm I'm not sure they've got away yet!

A big thanks to Bohunt School for their support of the day by giving us free access to their facilities, Sainsbury's for donating bottled water to keep everyone hydrated, EHDC and the Parish Council for providing sponsorship, Olivia Breen for opening the day, Cllr. Julie Butler from EHDC for awarding the prizes at the end of the day,the shops and businesses that carried posters/programmes, my fellow parish councillors who came along to man the various locations, and the parish council staff who gave their time so generously. A big thank you to the 12 sports clubs for giving their time and facilities for the community to use and enjoy.

All in all a really good, fun community day.

Jane
