Food Parcels
- Bob (30th Jun 2015 - 13:39:45)

Hi, my wife is going to visit her mother in law in France for a week, I have checked in the freezer and I have not seen any food left for me yet, not sure what to do now so any food parcels or cakes muchly appreciated. I will leave an address if I get a good response.
Thanks

Hi I could teach you how to prepare a simple salad or two, or even how to turn the oven on yourself? Failing that, Liss triangle centre offer some very good lunch time meals at a really reasonable cost, less than the price of a ready meal and all home made!

Go to sainsburys and pick up some ready meals? Ha

Bob - did I read that right, your wife is off to see her mother-in-law but you're not?

Simon- well spotted, I think I am over worrying about my stomach and my next meal. It's MY mother in law sacre bleu

Hi guys,
Thanks for suggestions. Wifey gone for 1 day already. FYI, not really a salad person unless it's in between 2 burgers, and yes presuming I can cook, it's not the point, provisions should have been left for me in my opinion.
Left over sandwiches from work, BBQ hula hoops, fresh pineapple and chocolate for tonight tea. Might try the Anchor tomorrow but won't be out late cos don't want to get caught up with Green Dragon overspill dancing round the roundabout :-)

Come on girls, wouldn't it be nice if the situation was reversed? Possibly not having to work, clean, launder, have his meal ready on time, whilst still wearing a smile and ribbons in your hair.

I would buy a couple of Sainsbury's ready meals, possibly some ice cream and very definately half a dozen bottles of red! Bliss.

On the off chance that Bob is not pulling our collective legs, he cannot seriously think that a woman before her holiday should prepare meals in advance for an able bodied hopefully intelligent man? Ok he does not like salad, why does he not know how to turn on the oven, open a tin, boil a few veg? Are men seriously so backward as not to be able to follow simple instructions? If it were a work environment, he would have been sacked for showing such a level of ineptitude! The alternative, Bob to your laziness is to take yourself out for a meal or get a take away. Or do you need someone to drive you there as well?

Thanks Bob for making me laugh.
Hope your errant wife left you enough clean, ironed clothes for the week or you may well have to join the naked frolics in the GD!

Perhaps Bob's wife will have a whale of a time in France and not come back? What would you do if you were single Bob? starve to death?

Re: Food Parcels
- Simon (4th Jul 2015 - 14:01:10)

How you hanging in there Bob? It's been a few days - we're starting to worry :-)

My wife and daughter are similarly in France with family, but I'm surviving on thick cut bacon sandwiches and pizza....

Hi Bob, hope you are ok mate. Reading your post has given me an idea. There seem to be soooo many classes available in and around the local area. Everything from baby yoga to Pilates for your dog :).

I would like to speak to you regarding starting a "how to treat your Husband properly" class. I think we could clean up with this one, well, teach them how to do that obviously. Please let me know when we can meet and discuss tactics.

Ps, we had better keep time & place of said meeting top secret. We certainly do not want a gang of angry women wielding pitchforks on the roundabout :).

Hi Bob,

Just following on from my last post, will we be wearing trousers to our meeting? Need a little notice if we are. My wife is currently wearing mine :))

- Hungry Bob (4th Jul 2015 - 19:49:18)

Hi Guys.
Day 3, wifey still away and checking I ok while showing me what she is eating at a sunny port something or other. Pffft!!!!!! Fed the dogs and found a family pack of Wotsits whoop whoop. Ate out last night , Friday, and got home safely.
And I walked, on my own 2 legs!!!
For those that are concerned, I am awaiting for sausages to cook, got some fancy ones that we don't usually get, boiling spuds to pulverise into a mash and may push the boat out and cook some beans. A cowboy meal!!
And when I find out who hid the red sock in my white washing, well they in for it and don't get me started on tissues in pockets!!!!!!
Feeling bit peckish, now, where are those dog biscuits.......

Re: Food Parcels
- richard (5th Jul 2015 - 09:55:53)

Hi Bob, I think you started this thread in order to make your wife feel some guilt about leaving you at home alone. That reminds me of the children's film, home alone, but mummy will be home soon Bob!
Ps if you get hungry please do not start eyeing up the dogs

Re: Food Parcels
- garry neil (5th Jul 2015 - 11:08:40)

I think your doing a fantastic job Bob.
You will soon be cooking romantic meals for your wife when she returns... thats if she does return.
Sausages mash and beans are a strong meal well done.
Maybe you could venture to fish fingers mash and peas?
Please keep us updated
Well done
