No Voting Papers?
- Julian (6th May 2015 - 10:22:28)

I am registered for a postal vote and have not received my Postal Vote pack for the General Election.

I am keen to vote by I am unable to do so without a Voting Pack.

Having contacted East Hants District Council I was surprised to hear (and I quote) that \"a lot of people have not got their papers\".

Over the past 9 days I have requested duplicates from EHDC 3 times. Still nothing received.

Is there anyone else missing their voting papers?

My husband and I have both recevied our postal votes in good time. We live in Liphook.

Hope this helps.

We also received our papers in good time (2 weeks ago) and live in Liphook.

I would strongly suggest that you contact EHDC today, and if you are able to go down to Petersfield to collect them - I know this is a pain but is likely to be the only way you will receive them in time (unless of course they arrive tomorrow).

Unfortunately I imagine you will be too late to be able to send it back, but you can hand deliver it to any polling station within East Hampshire tomorrow.

Good luck

Today is the election day but my son still hasn't receive his Postal Vote pack. Myself and my husband received ours on 25 April. All three of us are of the same address how come one is miss out?

After contacting the council a few times, last Friday I was told they will re-issue and post it to my son but where is it now?

This is the frist time that my son can vote, he is really upset!

You didn't tell them you were voting UKIP did you?

Seriously, I wonder how secure the postal votes are. Could they be filled in by someone else if they fell into wrong hands? I seem to remember something like that happened in East London last time.

In this day and age I'm surprised they can't do it online, mind you knowing the government, they'd lose them or something anyway.

Not wishing to re-open the Russell brand debate, if such it was, I am reminded of a quote from Mark Twain who once said "If voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it"

Hi Julian

Just like to know if you receive the Postal Vote pack in the end.

My son never receive his. Where is the re-issue of the postal Vote pack? We expect it may be too late for the election but never expect not receiving at all.Wonder if both the original & re-issue are never issue or sent out.

After the election I made a complain to the EHDC electoral services about my son never receive any postal vote pack for the election.

Finally the reply is 'they cannot explain why Royal Mail failed to deliver the orginial postal vote pack' and 'they were never aware of the comments in the Electoral Services Department otherwise they would have re-issue ballot papers to my son.'

So after I made five calls to the phone number on the postal poll card and were told three times they will re-issue the postal vote to my son, who's fault was it? Royal Mail,EHDC,Electional Services Department, staffs that answer calls or communication fault?
