Bluebell walks
- Pepper (27th Apr 2015 - 12:14:36)

Does anyone know of any good, dog friendly walks where bluebells are in abundance?
Thanks

Radford Park.
Has loads of bluebells. In the wooded areas.
If your able to climb a hill there is a hidden wood full of them above the caves.

Climb the hill near the tree swing. Found near old water works building and well.
Climb to top of hill then follow path to right till you find the fallen tree.
Turn left after you have climbed over the fallen tree. Follow path up the hill ( path ahead leads to caves),walk till you can see the bluebells.
My dogs love sitting in amongst the bluebells. I have taken some lovely photographs here as well.

Once your at the top of the hill.
Do not let your dogs go in to the fields above the path on left. It's usually full of sheep.

The Liphook Walking for Health Group will be having it's first Bluebell Walk of this year on Wednesday 29th April, meet at the Station Road car park at 10am. The walk will be approximately one hour in duration and the going will be relatively easy (ie no stiles etc and paths are mud-free). The bluebells are currently at their peak ! Durford Heath just off from the Jolly Drover Junction is a lovely walk. Last year the bluebells were amazing.

There is a lovely walk in Conford, over the stream and up towards the circular cycle path around the army zone. Just on the right hand side

Dear Z
Thank you very much for the Radford Park tip off - we went there yesterday. Beautiful. A big hit with two and four legged visitors.
Woof!
Pepper

Your welcome Pepper
The bluebells carpet is looking very pretty at present.
My dogs love running through the wild garlic.
Enjoy your walks.
