- Andrew (17th Apr 2015 - 16:01:44)

Why are the footpaths
So bad round here
Its time they
Got repair

Question is Andrew
What can we do,
To repair the paths
Beneath your shoe.

Complaining on here
Won't help a thing -
But perhaps you should give
County Council a ring!

Dear Andrew please
Do not take this to heart -
I just had to finish
The poem you did start.

I just thought today
I'd bring a big smile -
Hope the footpaths improve
To stroll down in style!

I walk an average of 60miles per week in and around liphook and find the paths and bridleways some of the best in the country. Both the county council paths, trails and bridleways and the National trust & forestry commission are great . I reported a style which was in a poor state about 18 months ago and it was repaired within two weeks. In bramble season I usually have a pair of secateurs so I can snip back the offending critters!!

It would be so good if all walkers who enjoy the paths felt a duty of care towards them too.

if you find aproblem with a footpath the county council have responsibility for you can do it on line using the link below
