Sky News android app
- Boris (26th Mar 2015 - 23:40:19)
The ability to watch live sky news on this app seems to have been withdrawn. The facility still appears in the menu but when trying to access the message " this service is no longer available" comes on.
Same message on tablet and smartphone.
All other functions such as reading news items and watching related video are operating correctly, plus the adverts of course!!
Anybody else had this problem?

Hi Boris
I find with any update on computer, tablet or smartphone.
When the update causes problems it's best to uninstall app completely.
Then clear cache of computer, tablet or smartphone.
Turn device off and then restart and turn on again.
Next re install the problem app.
A fresh installation of app usually sorts the problem.
Good luck

The Sky News app has been updated by Sky and the live news facility has been restored.
Unfortunately the adverts that come on when playing a video news item still remain.
However...... if you like a bit of challenge there is an app available that alllows you to revert to an older version of any app if you find the updated version is not to your liking, but it requires rooting.
