Puppy tied outside bakers
- Jennie (4th Mar 2015 - 13:55:33)

Could the owner of the west highland terrier puppy please leave it at home while going to the bakers in station road .Its waking the whole neighbourhood up with its high pitched barking at 7oclock in the mornings while tied to a tree.Maybe some people work at nights and are trying to sleep in the week days and Saturdays others may like a bit of peace for a well earned lie in ,a bit of consideration wouldn't go a miss

so, anyone looking to steal a dog, now knows where to go & what time to be there.
nice one!

ps...get a life

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Barry (4th Mar 2015 - 14:23:45)

Perhaps Jennie does have a life (a hard working one) and that is why she has an issue with being woken up by inconsiderate dog owners!!

Some people are so rude!

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Val (4th Mar 2015 - 15:14:02)

Heather, don't have a go at Jennie rather the irresponsible owner of the puppy. Please don't get me started. It's not dogs who are the trouble but the human beings who own them.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Dawn Hoskins (4th Mar 2015 - 15:47:42)

Heather.

Owners who have dogs that are not trained to sit and wait should not make them do so until they are adequately trained. It causes stress to the dog and also is a pain in the a***e to every who has to suffer eardrum ache.

Squeaky dog noise is annoying in the extreme. Not the dog's fault but the owners for not training it to behave. It is inconsiderate and rude of any dog owner to make people suffer the bad manners of an ill-trained dog.

Can the owner not hear it, or does the owner hear it - but not care?

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Gary (4th Mar 2015 - 16:12:23)

Oh for goodness sake heather! Get a grip.. Surely the owner isn't overly bothered by the puppy being stolen in the first place to leave it tied up there! Who would even want to steal such an annoyance, anyway might do the residents of station road a favour.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Sj (4th Mar 2015 - 18:48:08)

Why don\'t you get a life Heather. Its not the dogs fault its the owner\'s fault!

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Amy (4th Mar 2015 - 19:06:05)

I'm not a dog fan for this reason. I'm so glad I don't live anywhere the noisey creatures any more.
At my previous address my neighbour left her dogs outside 24/7 and the barking and the smell from where she never cleaned up was horrid
I can see where people are coming from about it being tied up and left to bark! It's very unfair on other people

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- l (4th Mar 2015 - 19:21:30)

Get a grip Heather... if the owner was too bothered about the dog being stolen then they wouldnt leave it tied to a tree clearly unhappy.

There are a lot of people very defensive of poorly trained dogs on this site.....!? And yes not dogs fault, its the owners. Makes you wonder why they have them in the first place!

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Ann (4th Mar 2015 - 19:37:50)

Amy, blame the people not the dogs. A constantly barking dog is not a happy dog. All dogs have a woof from time to time, but if they have responsible owners they realise there is a time and place for barking such as warning about a visitor/intruder etc. No responsible owner leaves a dog to bark thereby annoying people - it is also not fair on the dog. Noisy and badly behaved children are just as annoying and those children are usually badly behaved because they have irresponsible parents. It is the same with dogs.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- freya (4th Mar 2015 - 20:00:56)

Here is a different point of view.

I will never understand people who live in the countryside and complain about animals making a noise.

How would you react to a deer shouting for it's mate or foxes screaming when they mate in the early hours of the morning. I hear this every day between 12:30 -4:30 am. It's natural in the countryside.

How about the birds singing early in the morning and through out the day till Dusk.

These are the sounds of animals along with dogs barking, I here everyday living in the countryside.

It's part of country life. Get used to it if your to live in the countryside.

- Suz (4th Mar 2015 - 20:27:25)

It seems that Talkback has now just become a mouthpiece for people to moan about dogs and their owners. It's getting boring.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Geez (4th Mar 2015 - 21:20:30)

This site makes me laugh , it's funny how people suddenly gain a back bone and like the idea of an argument! I wonder how many of you do gooder , keyboard warriors would have so much to say if you were face to face with somebody.
As for your ridiculous comment with regards to living in the countryside and the noise animals make mating being compared to somebody's domestic pet being tied up and causing a nuisance ? What a joke... Pathetic

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Claudia (4th Mar 2015 - 21:24:47)

I don't think a puppy has ever been classed as a wild animal any where I know Freya I think you are missing the point !

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- freya (4th Mar 2015 - 21:31:21)

Have you spoken to this person and told them how you feel.
Because they may not have internet access and be able to read this.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- l (4th Mar 2015 - 22:26:24)

Not quite sure why Freya feels the need to comment on any of these posts. Her comments are not relevant, make no sense and are quite frankly childish and pathetic!

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Keith (5th Mar 2015 - 07:05:55)

There are so many dog related topics on here lately I think the editor should rename Talkback to Liphook Woofback

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers

Keith, your comment cracked me up this morning!!!!

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Suz (5th Mar 2015 - 10:51:00)

Keith, I howled with laughter when I read your post, you really are barking mad, it did make me paws for thought. Your a bit of a hound dog but careful or you may end up in the dog house.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- Ann (5th Mar 2015 - 13:40:06)

Freya Whilst I respect the right of anyone to post on this site, I have to agree that some of the content of your posts do not make any sense at all. Of course we all accept that one will hear "country noises" in the country ie foxes barking, crows cawing, tractors rumbling up and down our lanes - I could go on. What we do not expect to hear is the agitated, constant barking of dogs. It is not pleasant listening to a dog bark, bark, bark and it usually means that the dog is unhappy and lonely. In addition I don't quite understand that we should expect this sort of noise nuisance in the country as opposed to anywhere else. Are you implying dogs do not bark and annoy people in towns? Bit of a nonsense I am sure you will agree.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- H (5th Mar 2015 - 14:17:33)

it depend how long the puppy is tied up outside the bakers shop. The original complaint was to do with being woken up. The area around the bakers shop is not countryside, it is a built up area, and I would expect if I lived there that I would hear other noise as well, especially if people start work early in that area. There are people who complain about everything, the church bells are a case in point in Bramshott. We seem, as some of the previous posters have mentioned, to have become a nation of complainers. The puppy barks, get up and wait for the owner to come out and then put your case to them.

When I lived in London I never saw a dog, or a puppy. I only moved to wilds of Liphook so I could hear a puppy yapping every morning.

Re: Puppy tied outside bakers
- freya (5th Mar 2015 - 14:41:12)

Wow I see the village lynch mob are out to get someone with a different point of view again.
First Heather now me.
Does it really have to make sense on here.
You will all just turn your attention to the person you do not agree with.
as they are not writing and you are not reading what you want to see.
You can not take your anger out on those causing the problems or confront them face to face.
So let's lynch mob the first person who does not agree with you.

If we where in the middle ages I would have a lynch mob at the door and you would be burning me at the steak as a witch.

Lucky for me It's not the middle ages and I just put up with the lynch mob on here.

Freya didn't Winalot of Pal's with her words,
On tied up dogs, their owners, or dog turds!
The big dogs hounded her out of the pack,
That's a bit mean for Liphook Talkback.

This is our Speaker's Corner, Hyde Park,
A place where all us old dogs can bark,
We can tolerate every view under the sun (almost),
Yeah, it broadens our minds to hear more than just one.

Next time you're about to snap, just paws,
Consider this thought, before snapping those jaws,
If we all were always as good as you, why you know,
You'd never again win that Crufts elite show!

So if sometimes we are heard to howl at the moon,
Come on, we'll all be in pet cemetary soon (don't panic),
So chill out, tommorrow will come,
Who knows, Freya may be our best Pedigree Chum.

(Thank you, I'll get back to my day job).

Love the poem Tony it made me smile.
Thank you.

I'm glad you liked it Freya, happy it cheered you up, a smile is the best reward. As for everyone else, don't worry, I think I'll leave my brief poetry career there!
