Using mobiles whilst driving - Concerned parent (26th Feb 2015 - 11:52:53) Just seen this on the BBC news website BBC - Drivers on mobiles 'often texting or on internet' Which is supported by the number of drivers seen during the school run, heads down looking at, or talking on their mobiles whilst negotiating the roundabouts in the square. Really do wish we had a village bobby that could position themselves in the square and start making a few prosecutions!

Re: Using mobiles whilst driving - Dave W (26th Feb 2015 - 18:09:31) Incredibly stupid and dangerous, all the more stupid and dangerous, because there are numerous 'Hands Free' solutions at little cost if you must indulge in phone calls whilst driving. The penalties are not severe enough - there should be a 12 month driving ban and a bigger fine for those caught. That might make some of the idiots think twice. There have now been numerous fatalities caused by moronic drivers using phones and driving. No local Village Policeman anymore and never likely to be I'm sorry to say. If you are reading this and you are one of the offenders - mend your ways now before you kill someone. Tomorrow might be too late.
