Dog fouling
- M.O (14th Oct 2014 - 18:16:10)

So who was the disgusting golden Labrador owner who walked through the mead this afternoon and allowed their dog to mess outside my daughters gate, every day some ignorant owners who do not deserve to have animals do not clear up the mess, I am more than angry now, and I will catch you ! it does not seem to be a minority of owners, as the amount of mess we have to dodge in all of liphook is beyond a joke, better watch out, you might just find it posted back through your door and it won't be in a bag !!!!

you need photograph evidence or maybe set up a motion sensor camera? Then send to both the police and the dog warden.

It is quite disgusting and these people should be prosecuted.

Free software www.yawcam.com has plenty of features so you can hook it up to a PC and a webcam, it can record motion etc, test it and record them at it... get a few incidents recorded to properly nail them.

Camera resolution will need to be high to ensure that a person can be recognized when a reasonable distance from the camera

Yet again I go to my daughters and a disgusting dog owner has not cleared up their dog mess !!! That is 3 times this week ! She lives in a ground floor flat so camera is not really an option, Any other suggestions to catch the person ? Whom most certainly is not a pet lover, I have a small grandchild and we are forever trying to dodge the dog poo, getting really angry now !

Arrange a round the clock family sit-out. then you can see who it is take photos and report them! Thermos flask, breakfast in a box, umbrella.....
Might be inconvenient but only for a day and it could solve your problem if the offending and offensive and disgusting owner is caught, named and shamed (even better) and prosecuted (best yet).

Thanks Dawn, after my grandson treading all in it today, think that is the only way to catch them ! It really is beyond a joke now, someone is going to get a shock, we are most certainly going to catch the disgusting culprit

If you know it was a golden Labrador owner presumably you saw them and could give a description of the owner as well? Or could have pointed out to them at the time that they had left something behind?

Hope you manage to sort it out. I remember once through the Avenue the home owners put up a sign to say they were watching - made us all feel very nervous walking past!

Re: Dog fouling
- M.O (21st Oct 2014 - 07:08:07)

Jay, if I was able to of gone out I would of, I was indoors with my grandson, whom had no clothes on ! It was raining, have a locked gate, I happened to glance out the window and see a Labrador loitering, did not see the owner through the hedge, by the time we managed to go out, owner and dog gone but package left outside the hedge.

It's ok to put up a sign, but it does not stop the culprits, if they don't already pick it up, it's obvious they do not like picking up dog s...t, the same as I don't like treading in it, then walking indoors, not nice ! About time these people were named and shamed !

I saw two separate people let their dogs foul in Radford Park last week.

The first was a young man, aged about 20, tall with dark brown hair and wearing white ipod head phones. He was completely ignoring his Jack Russell as it walked behind him and crapped on the grassy area of the park.

The second was a woman in her 20's or 30's, who was leaning against the wooden bench by the rocks, playing with one medium sized dog, while she let her other, big grey dog run off and crap on the other side of the park.

IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO WATCH YOUR DOG, KEEP IT ON A LEAD.

I couldn't run after these people as my toddler was not in the sling, but if I see you again, I will follow you home and report you to the police.

I agree Katie, follow them home, report it , it's no good tapping them on the shoulder and saying you have left something behind, as the next day they allow their dogs to do it again ! We need to be able to walk and our children in these public places, maybe there should be a separate dog walking field for those who do not want to pick it up, then they too can walk in their dogs s..t !!!
