New Barbers in Village!
- Gina (17th May 2014 - 21:02:15)

HI
Just wanted to mention, that the new barbers Called Samurai, next to the Launderette are fantastic, took my lad there today, very friendly lady, very thorough, free drink while u wait, and the decor is fabulous.

I really do hope that the brother and sister barbers really make a go of it, in Liphook.

Tried Samurai today and I can highly recommend them. Easy parking, friendly owners, a great haircut and they managed to make me look 10 years younger. Well, 3 out of 4 ain't bad eh? Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Any idea as to the prices?

Would be great to save a trip to Bordon and let the boys go on their own.

I have just been there, the best haircut I have had for years, and it was done by Victoria. Excellent atmosphere and not the normal banal chat that you get in most Barber's.
Highly recommended.

Thought I would give this new barber a try. Very impressive.

Very homely and relaxing environment but most of all a very good haircut.

Nice to have a traditional hand cut over that of an electric shaver, all finished off with a cut-throat razor! These guys have a true talent.

I was offered complimentary tea, coffee or a cold drink. Had I of known they also offer a nice cold beer I may have accepted!

The free and easy parking is certainly a bonus.

I can't recommend them highly enough.

Why has Jay been going to Bordon.. I've always had an excellent cut at Yolande's in The Square.

Have to agree, really good barber. Would highly recommend.

Just personal choice Dave, one of my sons has a more "styled" cut which wasn't carried out too well in Yolanda's (there were quite a number of staff changes over the last few years) so we found a barber in Bordon that he was happy with.

Having said that, he did try Samurai and was delighted with the care and attention given to his hair and I think we will have to go back.

Son No. 2 also paid a visit and was pleased with the result.

Oh and the price appears to be £15 - or at least it was for both of my sons.

Allways get an excellent cut myself at Yolandas and the kids always look forward to a haircut from either Yolanda herself or Olga. Won't be changing anytime soon

I decided to try Samurai Barbers,
The hair cut was amazing and just what i asked for.
Some barbers just cut your hair and you end up with the same hair cut as everyone else!

I will definitely be going back to see Victoria from my next hair cut.

Its good to see a new start up business in the village :-)

I am the OP,and wanted to express my experience, nothing wrong with Yolanda's, but as mentioned above, its just a basic short back and sides, so we tried the Samurai......and found her fantastic, my son got the exact style he wanted, and a can of coke!...so she will be his choice of barbers for a few years!

Yes a little more money, but well worth it!

Thanks to whom ever posted this about Samurai, I called in today and had easily the best haircut for many a year

My hubby went there this week after I told him all the good things that had been said on here and I can honestly say it to is the best haircut he's had in years, it was styled rather than just cut.

Went to Samurai today after reading all of the good reports on here and would definitely recommend them.

The personal service that Victoria gives you is second to none making you feel that you are a much valued customer.

I will certainly be returning.

5 weeks on and I have just returned for a trim up.

Same excellent service from Victoria and it is great to see that her and her brother have established a great business in the village.

We are very lucky that they have chosen Liphook to set up their business so let's keep supporting them.

Where about in Liphook is this Barbers? Near station?

They are in the parade of shops near the station between the Launderette and the Village Indian Takeaway next to Liphook Hardware.

They are open 7 days a week.

do you know how much she charges for ladies hair?

Re: New Barbers in Village!
- Amy (7th Sep 2014 - 13:43:34)

When I asked in there they told me they don't do ladies hair

Re: New Barbers in Village!
- Fred Splinge (7th Sep 2014 - 16:31:22)

Hi Amy,

Victoria will probably do your hair outside of normal hours if you ask nicely. She charged my other half £30.00.

Good luck ,Fred..

Re: New Barbers in Village!
- Neil (13th Sep 2014 - 15:19:06)

Had my first haircut in Samurai today and it was really excellent. I wanted something different so Victoria advised me on a couple of styles she thought would suit me and we gave one of them a go. Possibly the best haircut I've ever had so Victoria's training and experience at a top salon really shone through.

I didn't take up the offer of a beer but it's a nice touch. I'll be going back there regularly from now on and hope they're able to make a success of it.

Re: New Barbers in Village!

I would just like to thank Victoria on behalf of myself and my son :) She's an absolute diamond and I can't recommend her highly enough! Best haircut ever AND a complimentary drink! What more could you want?

Nice to hear that there's actually a proper place to go to now
Didn't think much of the one in the village where I took both my boys once.
