Re: unwanted callers - Phil (27th Mar 2014 - 20:32:37) Had a call around 730pm last night, I politely told him I wouldn't.t buy anything at the door and he shouldn.t take it personally. He was absolutely fine, in fact he chatted a little and I learned that he was a long way from home, and somehow reports to a 'manager' in the area who expects each caller to sell 10 items before 8pm to earn their commission. The poor bloke was frozen and wet, I did wonder exactly what this scheme is and who runs it? Does anyone know more? I can't tell whether this is a genuinely run scheme, whether the callers are being exploited in some way, or whether it's just a door to door scam of some sort?

Re: unwanted callers - Brian (10th Feb 2016 - 17:30:05) Be warned that this lot are back. They have just visited the Haslemere road. When I politely pointed out that I have the 'no cold caller' county council sticker I got a whole load of expletives and abuse. At least he was smartly dressed :-) The funny thing is that I could have sworn I have seen this chap before cold calling and selling resurfacing drives but I could be mistaken. That chap was also rude.
